Assessments

A structured stress-test of each Business Model Design dimension — a grade, a gate, and the reasoning that matters.

What it is

Seven BMD dimension gauges — Clarity, Desirability, Feasibility, Viability, Mission, Timing, Defensibility — with the four core ones passed

An assessment is a structured stress-test of one Business Model Design (BMD) dimension. There are seven — Clarity, Desirability, Feasibility, Viability, Mission, Timing, Defensibility — and each gets its own assessment. The output is a letter grade and pass/fail gate status, plus the reasoning behind it, anchored to what your canvas actually says.

Where it lives

  • Top-level at /assessments (it redirects to the next core dimension that still needs to pass); each dimension also opens as a modal from your chat.
  • Reachable from the cycle dashboard, from sprint retrospectives, and from inline links in LEANSpark’s replies.

How to use it

  • Before planning a 90-day cycle — the four core dimensions (Clarity, Desirability, Feasibility, Viability) must pass before you design a campaign. The other three (Mission, Timing, Defensibility) are recommended but won’t block you.
  • After a material canvas change — rerun the affected dimension to see whether the change holds up.
  • When you’re stuck on what’s riskiest — the lowest-scoring dimension usually points straight at it.

The grade is not the point. The reasoning is the point — read it, then change the canvas. And don’t rerun the same assessment without changing the canvas first: same input, same output, time spent. An assessment consumes your current canvas plus prior assessments, and produces a stored grade + gate status that decides whether a 90-day cycle can be designed.
